
Chase Wheatcroft Named Troy Bourke Offensive Player of the Year

The 2022-23 Troy Bourke Award, for Offensive Player of the Year, goes to forward Chase Wheatcroft.
Wheatcroft had a dream 2022-23 season, leading the the Cougars in scoring with 107 points (47G-60A) in 68 games. Wheatcroft's just the 2nd Cougar in history to eclipse the 100 point plateau. Todd Fiddler in 2013-14 had 112. Wheatcroft also led the entire Canadian Hockey League in power-play goals with 22.
The Offensive Player of the Year Award is named after former Cougar Troy Bourke. Bourke played four seasons in Prince George from 2010-2014. He is third all-time in points in franchise history, compiling 236 points (84-152-236) in 276 career regular season games. He was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the third-round, 72nd overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft. Bourke, From Edmonton, AB, played this season in Austria with Salzburg EC.
