The 2022-2023 Chris Mason Award goes to forward Chase Wheatcroft. The Chris Mason Award goes to the player with the most Three Star selections throughout the season.
Wheatcroft electrified the crowd at the CN Centre all season. He had countless memorable nights which included setting the team's single season power-play goal record, his dazzling shootout goal in the final game of the season vs. Kamloops, and most importantly, scoring one of the biggest goals in team history which game in Game 6 vs. Tri-City.
The 20-year-old finished first in team scoring with 107 points (47G-60A) in 68 Regular Season Games. The Calgary, AB product led the team with 47 goals which is 3rd in Cougars single-season history.
