Dante Giannuzzi Signs ATO with Hometown Manitoba Moose

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club is proud to share that goaltender Dante Giannuzzi has signed an Amateur Try-Out (ATO) Contract with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League and he will join the Moose during their Calder Cup Playoff run.

Giannuzzi, 20, recently wrapped up his Winterhawks career playing 109 games in net over five seasons with the club. The Winnipeg, Man. native owns a 59-32-8-4 career record to accompany a .896 career save percentage and 3.07 goals-against average. Originally selected in the fifth round, #99 overall, of the 2017 WHL Prospects Draft, Giannuzzi set a new career high with 23 wins during his overage season and helped the Winterhawks to its best 20-game start in franchise history. Giannuzzi also recorded two shutouts during the 2022-23 season.

He becomes the fourth Winterhawk in the last five years to sign with the Moose, joining goaltender Cole Kehler and forwards Chaz Lucius and Skyler McKenzie.

Giannuzzi played in 41 games with Portland this season and went 23-13-3 to go along with a 3.37 GAA and an .894 SV%. He also posted two shutouts.
