FORT MILL, S.C. - August 20, 2008 - It was a close game all the way through, but in the end the Knights beat the Indians 5-4 in 11 innings at Knights Stadium. Back to back RBI doubles and a couple homeruns sealed the deal for the Knights.
The Knights trailed the Indians 3-0 until the bottom of the sixth when back to back RBI doubles tied up the game. The Indians scored another run, and then a Brad Eldred homerun in the ninth tied the game again. It was Eldred again in the 11th who got a hit into left field to bring the winning run home for the Knights
Eldred now has 34 home runs on the season and a league leading 96 RBIs. Knight's reliever Ehren Wasserman got the win for the Knights. Wasserman is now 2-0 on the season.
The two teams will continue the series tomorrow night as RHP Tomo Ohka (4-11, 4.13 ERA) will get the start for the Knights and LHP Tom Gorzelanny (3-1, 2.06) will take the mound for the Indians. Game time is 7:15.
