Columbus, OH - The Columbus Clippers beat the Richmond Braves 4-3 Wednesday at Cooper Stadium. The Clippers overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat the Braves for the second straight night.
The Braves grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Brent Lilibridge tripled a run home and scored on a Barbaro Canizares single. Diory Hernandez capped the rally with a run-scoring single. The Clippers began their comeback in the second when a Leonard Davis fielder's choice knocked in a run. Larry Broadway smacked a home run in the sixth to cut the Braves lead to 3-2. Columbus pulled in front with two runs in the seventh. Luke Montz tied the game with an RBI single. Broadway knocked in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly.
Zechry Zincola picked up the win. Brian Sanches notched a save. Royce Ring took the loss. Hernandez had three hits for the Braves. Josh Anderson pushed his hitting streak to 26 games. Broadway and Roger Bernadina had two hits for the Clippers.
