August 20, 2008 - Oscar Salazar reached base safely in all five plate appearances, but Toledo pounded out 11 hits en route to an 8-5 win over Norfolk Wednesday night.

Ryan Bukvich (8-3) suffered the loss, as he struggled with his control for the third straight outing. The right-hander yielded six runs - five earned - on six hits in 3.2 innings, walking six while striking out two. It was the third straight start in which he walked at least six, and he threw 49 of his 106 pitches for strikes.

Dontrelle Willis (3-1) earned the win for the Mud Hens, allowing three earned runs on eight hits in five innings. Willis walked five and struck out four, tossing 55 of his 98 pitches for strikes.

Cory Doyne made his season debut for the Tides, and he turned in 2.1 innings of hitless relief.

The Tides and Hens will continue their four-game set on Thursday, with first pitch slated for 7:15. Radhames Liz (3-7, 3.62) is scheduled to take the mound for Norfolk against Toledo right-hander Yorman Bazardo (4-10, 6.61).
