
Charlotte FC Acquires Midfielder Derrick Jones from the Houston Dynamo in Exchange for General Allocation Money

CHARLOTTE, NC - Charlotte FC today announced the Club has acquired midfielder Derrick Jones from the Houston Dynamo.
Charlotte receives Jones and $50,000 GAM in 2023 for $250,000 GAM in 2022. Houston will receive 20% of any future transfer fee outside of Major League Soccer.
Jones played 20 matches and started 14 for Houston in 2021.
The midfielder has appeared in 64 regular season matches across stints with Houston, Nashville SC and the Philadelphia Union.
Jones is a former U.S. youth international and played four matches in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup as the U.S. advanced to the quarterfinals.
