Charlotte FC's Under-17 and Under-15 teams are geared up for participation in the highly anticipated 2023 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs and Showcase. Following an intense and demanding 2022-23 MLS NEXT regular season, the Charlotte Under-17s successfully secured their spot in the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs. Meanwhile, the Under-15s will have a golden opportunity to showcase their skills before esteemed scouts from around the world at the MLS NEXT Cup Showcase.
The MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs is an exhilarating tournament that follows a single-elimination format, bringing together the cream of the crop from four age categories (U-15, U-16, U-17, U-19). The selection process for the playoffs involved teams earning their spot through impressive performances during league play or emerging victorious in their respective groups at the MLS NEXT Flex, a qualifying event held from May 12 to May 16. This highly anticipated event serves as the pinnacle of the 2022-23 MLS NEXT season, which witnessed an astonishing 9,000 matches played across various age divisions.
