Cleveland Charge News Release

The Canton Charge (6-11), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, enjoyed their largest victory of the season in a 120-95 rout of the Oklahoma City Blue (4-14) at home on Saturday night. The win was Canton's second in their last three games.

Canton set many individual and team season-bests throughout the night, highlighted by their most points in a single game and dishing out a season-high 31 assists as a team. Quinn Cook netted a game-high 24 points to go along with season-highs in rebounds (5) and assists (9). Nick Minnerath posted a double-double of 19 points and a season-high 12 boards off the bench for the Charge.

Canton matched their season-high for points in a quarter after netting 38 in the first led by Cook's 10 alone. The Charge hit 16-of-25 shots as a team (64%), including 5-of-7 from three point range and 10 assists. Canton's defense complemented its offense, forcing five turnovers resulting in 11 Charge points, to help pull ahead for a 38-24 lead after the first period.

The hosts maintained their advantage for the entire second quarter and led by as many as 20 at one point. Canton scored 14 of their 24 second quarter points in the paint en route to a 62-49 halftime lead. The 62 points also eclipsed a season best for the Wine & Gold, setting a new standard for points in a half this young season.

Canton never led by less than double digits in the second half en route to their fifth home win of the season. The victory was also by the Charge's largest margin so far this year, eclipsing the 20-point victory over the Raptors 905 on December 26th. Canton also nabbed a season-best 14 steals in the game.

Cristiano Felicio made a strong debut on assignment from the Chicago Bulls, scoring 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting with two blocks in 28 minutes.
