CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Charge (5-6) were defeated by the Indiana Mad Ants (9-1), 116-100, at the Wolstein Center on Thursday night during the team's annual Noche Latina celebration.
Emoni Bates led all scorers with 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting with three steals in 33 minutes. Olin Carter III netted 17 points in 26 minutes. Devontae Shuler scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in 31 minutes off the bench.
Three 20+ point scorers led the Mad Ants tonight: Elfrid Payton scored 21 with two steals, Kyle Mangas scored 20 with five boards, and Pedro Bradshaw netted 20 with 14 rebounds and three steals. Indiana led by as many as 27 in the victory.
The two teams meet again in Cleveland this Saturday, December 9th at 7:00 p.m. as the Charge celebrate Elf 20th Anniversary presented by Goodwill! The first 1,000 humans who share an affinity for elf culture (or who just love some Charge basketball) will receive a Charge Elf giveaway t-shirt presented by Goodwill. Players will join in on the holiday spirit, trading in the usual Wine & Gold for a green and yellow Elf-themed uniforms.
