Stars Steal Victory from Clippers

ONTARIO, Calif., - The Salt Lake City Stars snapped a two-game losing skid with a 122-113 victory over the Ontario Clippers tonight at Toyota Arena, in the team's first matchup of their three-game road trip.
The Stars were led by Utah Jazz assignment player Brice Sensabaugh, who tallied 23 points on 9-of-14 (.643) shooting from the floor, registering his third consecutive 20-plus-point game. Jazz two-way player Micah Potter notched a double-double on 20 points, paired with 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, fellow two-way player Johnny Juzang posted22 points, six rebounds, and two assists off the bench. The Jazz's third two-way Josh Christopher added 14 points and served seven assists for the Stars.
The Clippers were paced by Xavier Moon, who scored a game-high 26 points on 12-of-24 (.500) shooting to go with five rebounds and four assists. Brodric Thomas came off the bench for the Clippers, contributing 19 points and six rebounds, while Moussa Diabate led the team with nine rebounds, and added 17 points.
Ontario jumped out in the first half, claiming a seven-point lead to end the first frame. The Clippers continued to expand their lead, sending the Stars trailing 61-52 into the break. After the intermission, Salt Lake City rallied to edge Ontario with four lead changes and three ties. The Stars managed to trim the lead to single digits (89-84) in the third, before pulling away down the final stretch to earn the 122-113 road victory.
The Stars continue on the road as they head to face the Santa Cruz Warriors (Golden State Warriors affiliate) on Sunday, Dec. 10 at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The game tips off at 2 p.m. (MT) and will be broadcast live on NBA TV.
