Tampa Bay Rowdies News Release
. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The two teams tied for first place in the Eastern Conference go head-to-head Saturday night at Al Lang in a huge early-season clash.
Here are a few of the biggest matches happening in the Eastern Conference this weekend.
Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. New York Red Bulls II
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. | ESPN+
The Rowdies are riding a club record 11-game unbeaten streak heading into Saturday's showdown with the Red Bulls. Tampa Bay is the lone unbeaten team remaining in the Championship thanks in large part to the best defensive record in the league.
New York boasts the best attack in the Eastern Conference with 22 goals scored already. Forward Tom Barlow leads the Golden Boot race with eight goals, but he recently signed with the Red Bulls first team.
Louisville City FC vs. Saint Louis FC
Saturday, 7 p.m. | ESPN+
Louisville has steadily started climbing the table thanks to three wins in its last four matches. The two-time defending championships now sit four points short of first place heading into a big home game.
Saint Louis sits in third place two points off the pace and is unbeaten in three matches.
Nashville SC vs. Charlotte Independence
Saturday, 8 p.m. | ESPN+
Nashville SC looks likely to claim it's second-straight win with 16th-place Charlotte coming to town. Nashville enters the weekend three points short of first place and could put the pressure on with the teams in first and second playing each other.
Charlotte has endured a rough start to the year with just one win in 10 games. Add in a shocking defeat to the Florida Soccer Soldiers at home in Open Cup play Tuesday night and it looks pretty dire for the Independence.
