Indy Eleven News Release
DIANAPOLIS - It's always a busy month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway - and this year Indy Eleven is getting in the spirit of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing with a special edition black-and-white checkered theme jersey.
The special edition jersey, which will debut on the field during Indy Eleven's May 25th "Racing Indy Night" at Lucas Oil Stadium against Nashville SC, will be unveiled this afternoon, when Indy Eleven players will ensure all 18 drivers across the various Honda Racing teams are the first to the checkered flag (shirt, that is) with special deliveries to their garages on Gasoline Alley.
Through partnerships with Central Indiana Honda Dealers and Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, Honda has served as Indy Eleven's jersey front partner since the club's inception in 2013.
The majority of the Indy Eleven roster will arrive at IMS donning their new checkered tops, and are set to begin their day at the track outside the Pagoda at 2:00 p.m. Media members interested in dropping in on the jersey drop-offs or seeking interviews or photo opportunities with Indy Eleven players are asked to contact John Koluder (317-919-0808) or Savannah Boettcher (901-846-9640) for details on availability times & locations, which will vary throughout the afternoon.
Racing Indy Night will be the only opportunity for fans to purchase this limited-edition jersey, which will be available at the team's merchandise shop on the North Concourse at Lucas Oil Stadium when gates open at 6:00 p.m. (7:00 p.m. kickoff). The evening will also see the first 500 fans through the gates receive a free Indy Eleven/IMS black cap, and a special checkered scarf will also be on sale throughout the evening.
Indy Eleven's busy month of May continues this Saturday evening with "Armed Forces Night" at Lucas Oil Stadium against Charleston Battery, with kickoff also set for 7:00 p.m. Single-game tickets for all games are available at indyeleven.com/tickets or by calling 317-685-1100, and prorated season ticket packages also remain available through tomorrow, Friday, May 17, at 5:00 p.m.
