CFL Announces Award Nominees

TORONTO â The Canadian Football League announced today the results of the First Balloting for the 2002 CFL Most Outstanding Player Awards. Nominees from this first ballot will be eligible to be named Divisional and League Most Outstanding Players in the next two rounds of voting.
Five members from the Football Reporters of Canada Association (FRC) in each of the nine CFL cities cast ballots to name the top players from each of their respective teams in the following categories: Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Rookie, Most Outstanding Defensive Player, Most Outstanding Lineman, Most Outstanding Canadian, and voted upon by the FRC for the first time the Most Outstanding Special Teams Player (John Agro Award). In past years, the CFL Most Outstanding Special Teams Player (John Agro Award) has been nominated by the CFLPA.
