Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - CF Montréal will host the Philadelphia Union Saturday at 1pm EDT at Stade Saputo (TVA Sports, TSN, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
Back in action following a two-week international break, CF Montréal (11-10-7 / 40 pts) will take on the Union (12-7-9), a side sitting third in the Eastern Conference with 45 points. This will be the second and final meeting between the two clubs this season, after the teams last split points in a 1-1 draw on August 21 at Subaru Park. Looking to build on its 2-1 win over Atlanta United FC earlier this month, Montreal will be looking for a second crucial win against another direct rival in the playoff race. Meanwhile, Philadelphia will aim to secure its third straight win and extend its unbeaten streak to six.
With this match marking the beginning of a five-game stretch in 15 days for Wilfried Nancy's squad, CFMTL will attempt to further consolidate its postseason aspirations and a potential berth in the Canadian Championship final at the end of the month.
Saturday, Allstate Insurance will be giving away rally towels to the first 5,000 fans to arrive at Stade Saputo as of 11am at the South and West gate doors.
