Club de Foot Montreal News Release
TORREÓN, Mexico - CF Montréal begins its Concacaf Champions League campaign Tuesday night at 10pm ET at the Estadio Corona, in Torreón, as the club gets set to face Mexican side Santos Laguna in the Round of 16 First Leg (91.9 Sports, TSN 690, OneSoccer).
Individual tickets for the return leg, scheduled for Tuesday, February 22 at Olympic Stadium, are on sale beginning at $20 (plus applicable tax) exclusively through the club website.
Montreal travelled to Torreón on Sunday following the conclusion of its training camp in Florida, presented by Allstate Insurance, which was split between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
The two clubs will meet for a second time in their shared Champions League history. Prior to joining MLS, Montreal faced the Torreón-based side in the quarterfinal stage of the 2009 tournament. Following a 2-0 home victory on February 25 at Olympic Stadium in which forward Eduardo Sebrango scored twice, the Club suffered a 5-2 loss in the return leg, in Mexico, on March 5.
