Cavs and Monsters to Deliver Comfort & Joy to Families this Holiday
November 19, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Cleveland Monsters News Release
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Lake Erie Monsters are inviting their fans to join them in "making the season bright" for underserved children all over Northeast Ohio. Fans can join the Cavaliers, Monsters and Quicken Loans Arena employees in donating new, unwrapped toys to the 2013 Cavaliers and Monsters Holiday Toy Drive presented by Walgreens from November 20th through December 10th.
At every Cavaliers and Monsters home game, starting with the Cavs vs. Washington Wizards game on Wednesday, November 20th, fans can drop off new toys at collection bins located at every entrance of Quicken Loans Arena. In addition, the public is invited to drop off their toys at participating Walgreens locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
At the conclusion of the Toy Drive, the Cavaliers, Monsters and Walgreens will deck the halls for a festive holiday celebration! Cavs and Monsters players, as well as members of the Cavs and Monsters game entertainment teams, will present the new toys to many excited and deserving children from local support agencies.
"With the holidays right around the corner, the Cavaliers and Monsters are proud to deliver some extra special cheer to children in the community," said Cavaliers CEO Len Komoroski. "This is the perfect time of year to give back, and we're asking for the 'assist' from our fans to join us in helping more families across Northeast Ohio unwrap some more joyful memories this year."
