November 20th - Charity Bear Night:

The bears will be flying next Friday night when the Wildcats score this first goal against the PEI Rocket. It's Charity Bear night sponsored by Medavie Blue Cross.

A donation will buy you a Bear if you drop by the Wildcats office at the Coliseum. The annual Holiday event will see volunteers from Medavie Blue Cross collect the Bears and stuffed toys from the ice surface. The toys will be distributed to local charities by members of the Greater Moncton Progress Club.

Players to blitz downtown for Bears:

Look for the familiar jerseys of the Wildcats in the downtown Moncton area on November the 19th. The Cats will be blitzing businesses looking for Charity Bears. Employees of the downtown Moncton area are asked to bring their Bears to work and the Wildcats will be pleased to pick them up.

Charity donations to be made next Friday:

Two local charities will be given donations in a pre-game ceremony before next Friday's game. The Wildcats will present the proceeds of the Pink-in-the-Rink campaign to the Atlantic Division of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Another donation will be made to Mobile One as the result of the Pumpkin carving effort by the Wildcats players.

Two more examples of the Wildcats and our fans working to support in local charities and being, "Your Community Team".

Torch bearers at November 22nd game:

Some of the lucky people who will carry the Olympic Torch will be the special guests of the Wildcats at the Sunday afternoon, November 22nd game against Cape Breton.

Fans will be eligible to win prizes by wearing red and white or Team Canada clothing.

Figures show strong fan support for Cats:

The Wildcats are among teams in the QMJHL showing an increase in fan attendance this season. Moncton, Shawinigan, Victoriaville and Drummondville are drawing more fans than last year. Shawinigan is showing the best average of 864 more fans per game while the Wildcats are show a jump of 101. Overall League attendance is down 3.9% but expected to be over two million at season's end.

Roar Store now open Saturdays:

Starting this Saturday, the Roar Store will have extended hours during November and December. In addition to being open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am to 2pm and on game days, the Roar Store will be open 11am - 4 pm each Saturday. Great new merchandise has arrived in time for the season.

Who will be Mr. Movember?

The mustaches are starting to get attention. For the second year, the players and male staff are growing "stachs" in support of Prostate Cancer research. Wildcats effort on behalf of Prostate Cancer research is showing growth each day. The best looking "stachs" will be shown following the game with Drummondville on the 26th of the month.

Wildcats in Halifax tonight:

The Cats finish their two game road trip with a visit to the Halifax Metro Centre to play the Mooseheads tonight. Catch the action beginning at 7 o'clock on News 91.9 and on the Telus Webcast.

Cat of the Day:

Former Cats defenseman Oskars Bartulis has been called up by the Philadelphia Flyers. Bartulis spent two years with the Wildcats, and was a member of the 2006 Presidents Cup winning team. He was drafted in the first round of the 2004 CHL import draft. Philadelphia picked him in the third round of the 2005 NHL draft. He spent two years in the AHL before getting the call to the show.
