North Adams SteepleCats News Release

After seeing three of its scheduled games - including two at home - rained out last week, and after dropping three tough losses on the road to fall to .500 on the year, North Adams returned to Joe Wolfe Field and got back on track with a 5-2 victory against Ocean State on Sunday afternoon on Father's Day.

North Adams exploded with four runs in the bottom of the first, and that was more than enough for right-hander Mike Murphy, who finishd with five strikeouts over seven innings to improve to 1-0 on the year. Hartford junior Anthony Mannuccia came on in the ninth and picked up his second save of the year, as five different 'Cats finished Sunday with a hit apiece.
