Wilkinson Added to 2020 Pitching Staff

NORTH ADAMS Mass.- The North Adams SteepleCats would like to introduce LHP Danny Wilkinson (Villanova) to the pitching staff for the 2020 season.

Wilkinson, currently a freshman at Villanova will be joining North Adams in the upcoming summer. A standout before Villanova at Scotch Plains Fanwood Highschool in Scotch Plains, NJ. During his time at Scotch Plains Fanwood, Wilkinson was a standout athlete and pitcher, earning all-conference and all county in his sophomore, junior and senior years. In a three-year span Wilkinson held an ERA of 1.95 and punched out a total of 202 batters. The lefty set a school record with 20 strikeouts in a single game and threw a total of three no-hitters.

Now in his freshman year at Villanova Danny has made one appearance, going 3.2 innings, striking out five and earning the save in a matchup with Arizona State. The performance earned Wilkinson Big East Pitcher of the Week honors.
