SteepleCats Welcome Back Kemlage

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.- The North Adams SteepleCats welcome back Left-Handed Pitcher Joe Kemlage (American International College) to the Roster for the upcoming season.

The Junior from Wilmington, N.C. returns to North Adams after playing with the SteepleCats in both 2018 and 2019. During the 2018 season, Kemlage held a record 1-1, made five appearances, started four, had an ERA of 3.69, pitched 24.1 innings and struck out 19 batters. In 2019 Kemlage started two games, pitched a total of 25.1 innings and struck out 38.

As a sophomore at AIC, Kemlage had a solid 2019. The lefty pitched 61.2 innings, struck out 62, held a record of 5-5 and bolstered an ERA of 3.79. Kemlage also brings a good glove to the mound. Last season Kemlage had 15 assists in the field and had a total fielding percentage of .941.

Kemlage comes back for a third season in North Adams, adding another left-handed arm to the SteepleCats pitching staff which looks to be solid in 2020.
