'Cats bounce back, winning 9-4

Edmonton, AB- In a night when their pitching was on fire, the Cracker-Cats bats were just as good, connecting for 9 runs. The 'Cats had a very solid outing from their ace pitcher, Eric Van Slyke, and won 9-4. Center-fielder, Kevin House, had a stand out night, going 4 for 5, giving Van Slyke 4 runs of offensive support from the very beginning of the game.

Van Slyke pitched a gem, going 7 innings, and only giving up 2 earned runs, with 8 strikeouts, bringing his record to 4-3.

The Cracker-Cats season record now moves up to 22-21.

The final game in this four game series goes tomorrow night at 7:05.

The Cracker-Cats and Long Beach's public relations managers, have placed a bet on tomorrow nights game. The losing team will have to wear the opposing teams baseball cap in the next home game series in Long Beach, when the 'Cats front office staff will be in attendance.

The Probable pitchers for tomorrow nights game are as follows: Currier for Long Beach and Malone for Edmonton. The 'Cats return home on Friday July 11th as they take on the Calgary Vipers. Game time for that one is 7:05.
