
Catcher Greg Dini joins Kernels

July 18, 2007 - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce today that catcher Greg Dini has been assigned to Cedar Rapids from Rancho Cucamonga of the California League.
Dini, who did not play in 2006, was drafted by the Angels in the 12th round of the 2005 Free Agent Draft out of Tulane University. He played in nine games for the Kernels in 2005 with a .172 average (5-29) and one RBI. Dini also played in twelve games at Orem in 2005 going 13-37 (.351) with four doubles and four RBI.
Dini will join the team in Dayton and be active for Wednesday's game with the Dragons.
Today's roster move puts the Kernels roster at 25 active players with eight currently on the disabled list.
