Harrisburg, Penn. - The Somerset Patriots (31-16) dropped the opener of a six-game series with a 7-4 loss to the Harrisburg Senators (19-29) Tuesday night at FNB Field.

The Senators took an early lead with a pair of unearned runs against Somerset starting pitcher Luis Medina in the top of the first.

After Donny Sands made it a 2-1 game on a run-scoring groundout in the fourth, Harrisburg responded with two more runs in the bottom half of the inning. Aldrem Corridor (5) led off with a solo home run before Gilbert Lara added an RBI double to give the Senators a 4-1 lead.

Corridor finished the night 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI.

The Patriots briefly tied the game in the top of the fifth on a Thomas Milone (5) solo homer and a Diego Castillo (9) two-run shot. Castillo finished his game 3-for-5.

That tie was short-lived, as the Senators responded with two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a Corridor RBI single and a K.J. Harrison RBI double. Harrison (7) later added a solo home run in the seventh to top off the scoring.

Luis Reyes (W, 5-4) allowed four runs on five hits over five innings to earn the win. Nick Green (L, 1-1) yielded three runs over three innings of work to take the loss. Frankie Bartow (SV, 8) worked a scoreless ninth inning for the save.

The Patriots and Senators continue their six-game series Wednesday night. Southpaw Ken Waldichuk (1-0, 4.50 ERA) takes the mound for Somerset against Senators righty Cade Cavalli (0-1, 3.09 ERA). First pitch at FNB Field is set for 6:30 p.m.
