
Carolina Signs Defensive Lineman Francis Mays

GREENSBORO- Frances Mays (6'10, 270) joins with the Carolina Cobras after spending time in the NFL and with several arena football leagues. In 2014 and again in 2015, Mays signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. After getting a taste with the NFL, Frances made his arena football debut with AFL's Portland Steel. Mays later joined the IFL's Iowa Barnstormers 2017.
Mays started his collegiate career at Central Lakes College from 2010-2011 where he was named honorable mention Division III All-American and finished his last two seasons at Florida A&M. Frances tallied for 68 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 6 sacks during his 21-game-span at A&M.
Mays is a Bemidji, Minnesota native and graduated from Bemidji High School.
