Carolina Mudcats News Release

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have announced a pair of transactions impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats prior to tonight's game with the Huntsville Stars.

RHP Rick Vanden Hurk has been recalled to the major leagues and will start tonight for the Marlins against the Atlanta Braves. RHP Jesus Delgado has been optioned back to the Mudcats after spending four days in the major leagues. Delgado did not appear in a game.

The Mudcats' roster is at 23 players, one shy of the Southern League limit.
