
Carolina Hurricanes Select Steve Lorentz 186th Overall in NHL Entry Draft

(Peterborough, ON) - Peterborough Petes forward Steve Lorentz was selected in the seventh round, 186th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in Sunrise, Florida on Saturday afternoon.
Lorentz, a 6'3", 179lbs centre from Waterloo, Ontario, is coming off his second season with the Petes. This past season, the sophomore forward scored 16 goals and added 21 assists for 37 points, more than doubling the scoring output of his rookie campaign.
Lorentz is in his second year of NHL draft eligibility, and joins Matt Spencer (2nd round, 44th overall, Tampa Bay) as the two Petes selected in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
