Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's game against the Montgomery Biscuits at Riverwalk Stadium at 8:05 p.m. ET.

Right-handed relief pitcher Collin Cargill has been transferred to the Suns from Triple-A New Orleans. Cargill, who began the season with the Suns, pitched in four games with the Zephyrs, going 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA in five innings on the mound. Earlier this season Cargill had no wins or losses and a 5.40 ERA in five relief appearances in Jacksonville.

In a corresponding move, right-handed relief pitcher Jheyson Manzueta has been transferred from the Suns to High-A Jupiter. Manzueta went 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in two relief appearances with the Suns, only allowing a run in four and two-thirds innings on the mound, and he earned the victory last night over the Biscuits.

Outfielder Danny Pertusati was reinstated off the disabled list and released by the Marlins organization. Pertusati did not play in any games this season, and spent parts of the last two seasons in Jacksonville.

The Suns roster now stands at 25 active players and a revised roster is attached.

Jacksonville sends out the righty Jose Urena (2-2, 5.85) for Friday's series finale, while Montgomery will counter with a right-hander of their own in Matt Neil (1-1, 7.98).
