North Little Rock, AR-The Arkansas Travelers were swept in their season opening three game set by the Springfield Cardinals, falling 8-1 on Sunday afternoon at Dickey-Stephens Park. The Cardinals banged out 13 hits including a pair of home runs by Aaron McKeithan and RJ Yeager who each drove in three runs. Trent Baker threw five shutout frames to earn the win while Danny Wirchansky was tagged with the loss for Arkansas.
Moments That Mattered
McKeithan made Wirchansky pay for a pair of walks in the second blasting a three-run home run to left field.
Arkansas answered with a run in the bottom of the second but left a pair of runners in scoring position and would not score again.

Tyler Locklear had at least one hit in every game of the series and has a four game hitting streak dating back to last year.
Kyle Hill made his Travs and Double-A debut with a perfect seventh inning out of the bullpen.
