(Lexington, KY)--Lexington's Mark Ori drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday afternoon, forcing in the winning run in the Legends' 4-3 victory over the Lake County Captains at Applebee's Park.

Ori, sent up as a pinch-hitter with two outs and the bases loaded in a 3-3 game, worked a 3-1 count against Matt Davis (0-4) before taking a fastball high and outside for the game-winning, RBI walk.

The Legends (36-22) tied the game 3-3 in the ninth when Davis walked the lead-off hitter, Tommy Manzella. Manzella stole second, went to third on a ground-out, and scored on a single by Mitch Einertson.

After the game was tied, Davis gave up a single to Koby Clemens and hit Wladimir Sutil with a pitch to load the bases before Ori ended the game with the walk.

It was the second blown save in 16 chances for Davis, who saved Monday's 6-5 win over the Legends in the series opener.

The Captains (25-34) took the lead in the top of the ninth inning on Johnny Drennen's solo homer off Chris Campos (1-0). It was Drennen's second homer of the series and his fifth of the year. On Tuesday, Drennen made national headlines by homering off Roger Clemens.

The Captains also held a 2-1 lead until the Legends tied it on a double by Sutil, a sacrifice bunt, and a wild pitch by reliever Cody Bunkelman.

The Captains have lost seven of the last eight games.

Lefty Tom Cowley started for the Captains and pitched into the sixth. He allowed four hits and one run, and left with a 2-1 lead.

The Captains and Legends will finish the series on Thursday night at 7:05. RHP Jim Deters will start for the Captains.

Following the series with the Legends, the Captains will return home for a seven-game homestand at Classic Park, beginning with Friday night's game against Lakewood. Fireworks will follow the game Friday. For tickets to all remaining home games, call (440)954-WINS.
