
Williams to represent Savannah at All-Star Game

KINGS MOUTAIN, N.C. - Sand Gnats manager Bobby Williams was selected to be an assistant coach of the Southern Division at the South Atlantic All-Star Game, the league announced Wednesday.
Williams will join Sand Gnats catcher Brian Peacock and pitcher Gene Yost as Savannah's representatives to the event.
Williams is in his first season as manager of the Sand Gnats and his second in the same role with the Washington Nationals system. Williams led the Vermont Expos of the New York-Penn League last summer.
The SAL All-Star game will be played Tuesday, June 20, in Eastlake, Ohio, hosted by the Lake County Captains.
