
Captains Six-Game Home Stand Features Heroes Weekend & a Pair of Fireworks Shows

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A-Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin a six-game home stand on Tuesday June 12. The Lansing Lugnuts (Toronto Blue Jays) are in town Tuesday to begin a three-game series. The Bowling Green Hot Rods (Tampa Bay Rays) will come to Classic Park for a weekend series beginning on Friday June 15. Sunday is the final game of the first half for the Midwest League.
Tuesday, is a Community Tuesday at Classic Park. Fans who bring a non-perishable canned food item to the box office will receive a FREE game ticket to Tuesday's game. The limit is one ticket per person. First pitch is at 7PM and the gates will open at 6PM.
Wednesday, is a 12PM First Pitch, with gates opening at 11AM. Wednesday is Senior Day presented by Wickliffe Country Place. Wednesday is also Summer Recreation Day at Classic Park.
Thursday, is Thirsty Thursday presented by Labatt. A new twist for Thirsty Thursday is fans age 21 and older can get their first beer on the Captains! Any fan age 21 and older purchasing a full-priced ticket online will receive their first Labatt beer, or fountain soda, on the Captains! This offer is ONLY available for online purchases made at CaptainsBaseball.com. In addition to the free beer promotion, fans can still enjoy half-price domestic drafts and fountain soda until 9PM.
Friday, begins the Captains "Heroes Weekend." On Friday, the Captains and the Hot Rods will wear special Paw Patrol Themed jerseys as part of Nickelodeon Night at Classic Park. The Captains will be in the "Marshall the Fire Dog" themed jersey, while the Hot Rods will wear a "Chase the Police Dog" themed jersey. Proceeds generated from the jersey auction will be donated to the Eastlake Police Department Canine Unit and the Palumbo Foundation. Fans that have the highest bid will be able to meet the player whose jersey they won and get an autograph from them after the game!
Friday is also another Friday Fireworks Night, presented by Highland Springs. The first 1,500 fans through the gate will receive a Captains Baseball Cap, presented by Lake Health. Gates will open at 5:30 while first pitch is slated for 7PM.
Saturday is a Saturday Fireworks Night presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. First pitch is at 7PM and gates open at 5PM. Saturday is also Military Night, presented by Western Reserve Harley Davidson. Any veteran, past or present and family will receive a $5 discounted ticket.
The home stand and first half conclude on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17 at 4PM. Purchase a Father's Day VIP package that includes a 90-minute all-you-can eat-buffet for just $21 ($18 for kids ages 4-12.) Submit photos of Dad to be show on the video board by emailing Jen Yorko at Jyorko@captainsbaseball.com. Sunday will once again be a Family Fun Sunday, Powered by NOPEC. Family Fun Sundays include pre-game catch on the field (3:00-3:20), pre-game player autograph sessions (3:05- 3:25), concourse entertainment and post-game Kids Run the Bases. Gates will open at 3PM. Sunday is also Bark-In-the-Park presented by 305 Animal Hospital! Fans can purchase a pooch pass for $5.
