
Captains Holiday Weekend Home Stand Features Star Wars Night and a Pair of Fireworks Shows

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A-Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will commence a four-game home stand on Friday May 25. The Great Lakes Loons (Dodgers) are in town for the first time in 2018 to take on the Captains. The Loons will be at Classic Park through Memorial Day on Monday.
Friday, May 25, will be another Friday Fireworks Night presented by Highland Springs. Gates open at 5:00 PM on Friday and first pitch is at 6:30 PM. Friday is a Captains Reading Program Friday Night! Numerous students throughout Northeast Ohio will be recognized for their great reading accomplishment.
Saturday, May 26, is the Captains annual Star Wars Night! A few Star Wars characters that are expected to be in attendance are Captain Rex, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Jawa, Jeddi, Kylo, Leia, Rey and Storm Troopers. Other characters may be in attendance as well. All characters mentioned are subject to change.
Saturday is also a Saturday Fireworks Night presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. First pitch is at 6:30PM. Gates open at 5:00 PM. The fireworks show will be set to Star Wars music.
The home stand continues on Sunday, May 27 at 1:30 PM. Sunday will once again be a Family Fun Sunday, Powered by NOPEC. Family Fun Sundays include pre-game catch on the field (12:30-12:50), pre-game player autograph sessions (12:35-12:55), concourse entertainment and post-game Kids Run the Bases. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 PM and gates open at 12:30 PM.
Monday, May 27 is a special Memorial Day 1:00 PM start time. Fans who present a non-winning Ohio Lottery scratch-off game at the Classic Park box office and then purchase a regularly priced ticket will receive a second ticket for Monday's game for free. The first 100 fans age 18 or older will also receive an Ohio Lottery Instant Game. Gates will open at 12:00 PM.
