Lake County Captains News Release
(Savannah)--The Cleveland Indians announced today that righthander Nick Pesco has been added to the Lake County Captains roster, and will be the starting pitcher when the Captains play tonight in Savannah at 7:05.
To make room on the roster, lefthander Dan Rich was promoted to the Kinston Indians of the Carolina League.
Pesco, a 6-foot-6 righthanded pitcher, was a 25th round draft pick of the Indians in the 2002 draft out of Consumnes River Junior College in California. He made his professional debut last season at rookie-level Burlington where he was 3-1, 1.82 ERA in 13 starts.
Rich had no record in three relief appearances for the Captains this season.
Following the game in Savannah tonight (WELW AM 1330), the Captains will travel to Charleston, South Carolina, for a four-game series before returning home to Eastlake on Thursday, April 29th for a four-game homestand against Hickory.
