MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned defenseman Jon Klemm to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi today announced.

Klemm, 37, has zero points and two penalty minutes in five games played with the Kings this season. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Cranbrook, British Columbia, has also appeared in 17 games with Manchester this season - where he has served as captain - and has zero points and 16 penalty minutes. A veteran of 14 NHL seasons, Klemm has recorded 142 points (42-100=142) and 428 penalty minutes in 756 career NHL games with the Kings, Dallas, Chicago and Colorado/Quebec.

The Monarchs welcome the Chicago Wolves to the Verizon Wireless Arena on Saturday, December 8 with a 7:05 p.m. face-off. Monarchs fans will receive cash prizes totaling $10,000 in the Give Back The Greenbacks promotion and the first 4,000 fans will receive Monarchs rally towels at Saturday's game courtesy of TD Banknorth.
