EASTLAKE, OH - The West Michigan Whitecaps were swept in a doubleheader for the second straight time and began the second half by watching the Lake County Captains throw a no-hitter in wins by scores of 9-4 and 4-0 on Friday night at Classic Park.

The no-hitter marks the first time West Michigan has been no-hit this season, and the second straight year the "Caps have been no-hit by the Captains. Lake County kept the Whitecaps hitless in the first game of a doubleheader on April 25, 2018.

In the first game of the doubleheader, the Whitecaps got a home run from Vinny Esposito to lead off the game, and a solo shot off the bat of Hector Martinez to take a 4-2 lead in the fourth.
