
'Caps Head to San Jose, Back at BC Place on September 14 and 17

VANCOUVER, BC - Whitecaps FC fell to a 3-0 loss against Western Conference side Nashville SC at BC Place this Saturday night.
The first half saw Nashville open the scoring following a quick counter attack. Randall Leal's end-to-end run finished with a low right footed shot off the far post and into the back of the net in the 19th minute of the match.
Minutes later, Hany Mukhtar's delivery off a corner kick found its way through to Jack Maher inside the box. The defender then doubled his squad's advantage inside the 23rd minute.
The second half would see the away side cushioning their lead following a free kick opportunity. Maher's looping header from the right side of the box would find its way into the netting in the 50th minute of the match.
The 'Caps were down to 10-men shortly after as Lucas Cavallini was shown a red card in the 53rd minute of the match.
The Blue & White wouldn't give up though. Pedro Vite made a quick turn inside the area and his shot then strike off the post inside the 75th minute of the match.
The away side were awarded a penalty kick in the late stages of the match, but goalkeeper Thomas Hasal saved Dax McCarty's attempt from the spot in the 90th minute.
