
Capitals Relieve Brent Bowers Of Field Manager Duties

Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Capitals Governor Patrick LaForge today announced that Field Manager Brent Bowers has been relieved of his duties. Director Baseball Operations & Hitting Coach Gordon Gerlach will take over the Field Manager duties for the remainder of the season effective immediately.
The decision comes following the Golden Baseball League announcement to suspend Bowers for the remainder of the season and fine him $5000 as a result of an altercation with a GBL umpire in Orange County July 31st.
