Canucks Re-Assign Oberg to Moose & Recall Hodgson

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have re-assigned defenceman Evan Oberg to the Moose.

The Canucks also announced they have recalled centre Cody Hodgson from the Moose.

Oberg, 23, played in two games with Vancouver after his recall on Feb. 17/11. In 34 games with the Moose this season, the native of Forestburg, AB scored 10 points (6g, 4a) and collected 24 penalty minutes. Oberg has played in 104 career games in two seasons with the Moose where he's scored 36 points (9g, 27a) and collected 88 penalty minutes.

Hodgson, 21, has played in 34 games so far this season with the Moose where's scored 18 points (12g, 6a) and collected 10 penalty minutes. Since being re-assigned to the Moose by Vancouver on Feb. 11/11, the Markham, ON native has a pair of goals. In five games so far with the Canucks in his rookie season, Hodgson has scored a goal and an assist. Hodgson was originally drafted by Vancouver in the first round, 10th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
