Canucks Assign Cederholm to Kalamazoo Wings

Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher announced today that the Vancouver Canucks have reassigned defenseman Anton Cederholm to the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.

Cederholm, 20, played in 68 games for the Portland Winterhawks (WHL), and collected 19 points (9-10-19) along 84 penalty minutes. In 17 playoff games he recorded two points (1-1-2) and a +7 rating. The defenseman spent the 2013-14 season with the Portland Winterhawks (WHL), and scored 16 points (4-12-16) and 95 penalty minutes in 71 regular season games. He added five points (2-3-5) and 16 penalty minutes in 21 playoff games, and helped Portland advance to the WHL Championship.

The Helsingborg, Sweden native has represented his country on multiple occasions, including the IIHF World Junior U18 Tournament (2011-12 and 2012-13) and U17 Tournament (2010-11 and 2011-12).

The 6'2", 204-pound defenseman was originally drafted by Vancouver 145th overall in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
