Lincoln, NE - The Lincoln offense posted 11 runs in consecutive contests Saturday, sweeping two games from the Sioux Falls Canaries.

Lincoln, twice down to their final three outs, rallied for a 11-10 ten-inning walkoff victory in a game that began Friday night and was completed Saturday afternoon.

Sioux Falls cashed in on a pair of two-out singles in the top of the first, with a run scoring on a wild pitch. Lincoln answered with a run in the bottom half and scored four times in the second stanza.

Anthony Hqll led off the top of the third with a solo homerun before the Canaries pushed across five runs in the fourth. Joe Vos brought the Birds within 5-3 via a sacrifice groundout. Hall tied the game with a two-run single before Josh Rehwaldt belted a go-ahead two-run homer.

Lincoln was held scoreless in the bottom half before play was suspended until Saturday.

The Saltdogs tied the game at 7-7 via two bases loaded walks, one in the sixth inning and one in the eighth. Joe Vos broke the tie with a solo homerun to start the ninth but Lincoln responded with a solo shot of their own in the home half.

The Birds scored twice in the top of the tenth inning. TJ Racherbaumer came in on a throwing error and Trevor Achenbach followed on a sacrifice fly from Mason Minzey. But the Saltdogs had the last laugh, walking off Sioux Falls with three run-scoring singles in the bottom of the frame.

Hall and Rehwaldt each finished with four hits to pace the Canary offense.

The Saltdogs jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in game two, topping the Birds 11-3 in the nightcap.

Lincoln struck for a first inning grand slam and added an RBI fielder's choice in the second before Anthony Sharkas delivered a run-scoring single in the top of the third.

The Saltdogs pulled away with a three-run homerun in the fourth inning and added three more runs in the fifth.

Mike Hart led the Birds with two hits as Sioux Falls dips to 12-10 overall. The two teams wrap up their three-game series Sunday at 1:05pm.
