Canadiens Recall Tokarski from Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have recalled goaltender Dustin Tokarski from the Bulldogs.

In 34 games with Hamilton this season, Tokarski has a record of 17-13-2 with a 2.34 goals-against average, .919 save percentage and one shutout. He recently participated in the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

In 228 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Norfolk Admirals, Syracuse Crunch and Bulldogs, the 24-year-old has a record of 121-85-14 with a 2.44 goals-against average, .912 save percentage and 18 shutouts. In seven career National Hockey League games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, he a record of 1-3-1 with a 3.54 goals-against average and .871 save percentage.

Tokarski was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round (122nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Hamilton's next game is scheduled for Friday, February 28th when the 'Dogs will host the Lake Erie Monsters (American Hockey League affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
