
Former Amerk Calder Cup Champion Scott Nichol to Sign Autographs at Next Seneca Casinos Legends Nigh

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that Scott Nichol, a former Amerk who won a Calder Cup with Rochester in 1996, will sign autographs prior to the Amerks game versus the Syracuse Crunch on Friday, March 7 at The Blue Cross Arena as part of the next Seneca Casinos Legends Night.
The Seneca Casinos Legends Series is now in its fifth year and previously featured an appearance this season by Amerks Hall of Fame inductee Mike Hurlbut.
Nichol played in 325 career games over six seasons with the Amerks from 1994-95 to 1999-00, recording 173 points on 80 goals and 93 assists, along with 813 penalty minutes. Nichol was a key member of Rochester's 1996 Calder Cup championship team, recording 13 points (7+6) and 36 penalty minutes during the postseason. In 63 career playoff games with the Amerks, Nichol collected 28 points (9+19) and 104 penalty minutes. He currently ranks seventh all-time in Amerks franchise history in penalty minutes and fifth in postseason games played.
After starting his professional career with the Amerks, Nichol went on to play 662 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues, totaling 127 points (56+71) and 916 penalty minutes.
