
Canadiens Assign Robert Mayer to Hamilton

HAMILTON, ON - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Canadiens have assigned goaltender Robert Mayer to the Bulldogs.
Mayer, who was recalled yesterday, has played 26 games with the Bulldogs this season registering an 11-10-3 record with a 2.99 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. Mayer, 23, spent parts of three seasons with the Bulldogs prior to this season totaling a 23-28-4 record with a 2.96 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. The native of Havirov, Czech Republic led the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL to a Kelly Cup Championship in 2010 while winning the Kelly Cup Playoff MVP with a 9-6-0 record, a 1.54 goals against average and a .938 save percentage. Mayer was originally signed by the Montreal Canadiens on September 25th, 2008.
The Bulldogs' next game is against the Rochester Americans at Copps Coliseum tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. All 'Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).
