Houston Adds Forward Ginand and Goalie Reichard

Houston, TX - Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill announced on Sunday the team has signed forward Ryan Ginand and goalie Cody Reichard, each to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

Ginand is scoreless in five games with Houston over three separate stints this season. He returns from Orlando, the Aeros ECHL affiliate, where he ranked among the top ten scorers, potting six goals and adding 14 assists for 20 points in 26 games played.

The 24-year old Reichard, joins Houston from the ECHL's Stockton Thunder. The rookie goalie is 13-8-5 in 27 appearances with the Thunder this season, posting a 2.64 g.a.a. and a .911 save percentage. Prior to turning pro, he spent four years at Miami University. Over his collegiate career, he went 52-24-9 with a 2.08 g.a.a. and a .913 save percentage.

Houston continues on an eight-game road trip on Monday, Feb. 18 in Toronto at 12 p.m. CT. The Aeros return home on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7:05 p.m. as Houston hosts Oklahoma City at Toyota Center. The team will celebrate Boy Scout Night by handing out 2012-13 team posters to the first 2,000 fans, compliments of Warehouse Pool Supply.
