Canadians To Play Doubleheader Sunday

(Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - The Vancouver Canadians and Spokane Indians had their game on Saturday night suspended due to inclement weather around the Lower Mainland. This game will be completed as part of a doubleheader scheduled for Sunday, July 26th starting at 1:00pm.

The Canadians and Indians were in a scoreless tie in the top of the second inning when streaks of lightning fell from the sky just beyond Queen Elizabeth Park prompting the umpiring crew to enforce a weather delay. After one hour of delay, the game was suspended to be picked up in progress on Sunday.

Sunday, July 26th, 2009:

12:00pm - Gates at Nat Bailey Stadium open

1:00pm - First pitch of Game One between Vancouver Canadians and Spokane Indians (in progress - top of the second inning).

After conclusion of first game a 30-minute break will take place between games.

First pitch of Game Two (scheduled as a seven-inning game) will commence after 30-minute break

Both games of this doubleheader will be available on TEAM1040 Sports Radio.
