
Canada Wins Fourth Straight Gold

Congratulations to Colton Gillies and the rest of Team Canada as they captured their 4th gold medal in a row at the World Junior Hockey Championships on Saturday afternoon in the Czech Republic.
Blades 18 year old forward Gillies was a member of this year's 22 man roster which also included fellow Western Hockey League players Karl Alzner (CAL), Thomas Hickey (SEA), Logan Pyett (REG), Zach Boychuk (LETH), Riley Holzapfel (MJ), Brandon Sutter (RDR), and Saskatoon's own Luke Schenn (KEL).
Gillies will now return to Saskatoon for the remainder of the Blades 2007/08 season and could be in the line-up as early as Tuesday night when the Blades travel to Edmonton.
A special pre-game presentation will take place for Colton at the Blades next home game on January 12th when the Blades host the Raiders.
