The New Jersey Jackals scored six runs in the first inning to take an early 6-0 lead and would roll from there to a big win over Nashua. Jackals LF Luke Allen and DH Matt Lauderdale went a combined 6-for-10 at the dish with four runs scored and three RBI. Allen also launched his eighth home run of the year, a solo shot in the fourth inning. Ryan Pacyna was the winner in relief for New Jersey going 3 2/3 innings allowing three runs, all earned, on three hits with three walks and a strikeout. He is now 2-1 on the season. For the Pride in defeat, LF Jerod Edmondson went 2-for-4 and scored three of Nashua's four runs.

The game scheduled between Quebec and Brockton was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, August 7 beginning at 5:05 PM. Both games will be seven innings.
