The New Jersey Jackals scored six runs in the first inning to take an early 6-0 lead and would roll from there to a big win over Nashua. Jackals LF Luke Allen and DH Matt Lauderdale went a combined 6-for-10 at the dish with four runs scored and three RBI. Allen also launched his eighth home run of the year, a solo shot in the fourth inning. Ryan Pacyna was the winner in relief for New Jersey going 3 2/3 innings allowing three runs, all earned, on three hits with three walks and a strikeout. He is now 2-1 on the season. For the Pride in defeat, LF Jerod Edmondson went 2-for-4 and scored three of Nashua's four runs.

Quebec vs. Brockton (Postponed - Rain)

@ Brockton, MA.

The game scheduled between Quebec and Brockton was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, August 7 beginning at 5:05 PM. Both games will be seven innings.

Worcester 7, Atlantic City 6

Trailing 6-3 entering the bottom of the ninth inning, the Worcester Tornadoes made an improbable rally that began with a walk to DH Josh Farkes to lead off the inning and ended with a walk-off, two-RBI double, off the bat of C Alex Trezza. The win for the Tornadoes pulls them to within two games of first place in the second half and shrinks Atlantic City's lead to just a half game over Quebec. Worcester CF BJ Weed led the way at the plate going 3-for-5 and scored the winning run on Trezza's double.

Sussex 11, Ottawa 8

The Sussex Skyhawks scored six times in the seventh inning to take the lead for good in this one as their offense led the way, pounding out 17 hits in the game. Skyhawks C Cliff Panezich went 3-for-3 with three runs scored to lead the offensive effort. Sussex 1B Matt Weston also had a nice game, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of RBI. Skyhawks reliever Khalid Afify picked up his first win of the season. He allowed two runs on three hits in an inning of work.
