Cameron Wagoner Wins Midwest League Pitcher of the Month for August

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Cameron Wagonerhad his amazing month of August recognized by Minor League Baseball. The Wisconsin right-hander was named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Month for August on Tuesday afternoon. He is the first Rattler to win a monthly league award this season.

Wagoner was 4-0 with a 1.37 ERA in five games - four starts - for the Timber Rattlers in August. He had 27 strikeouts over 26-1/3 innings pitched last month. The Milwaukee Brewers selected Wagoner in the eleventh round of the 2022 draft out of Eastern Michigan University.

The two months has seen an amazing turnaround for Wagoner. He was 1-11 with a 7.21 ERA after a loss to the Beloit Sky Carp at home on July 8. Since that game, Wagoner is 5-0 seven appearances - six starts.

Since 2013, the Timber Rattlers have had five other monthly award winners in the Midwest League.

Wagoner and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers begin a six-game homestand with the Cedar Rapids Kernels tonight at 6:40pm.
